Anh-Hoa Nguyen received her Ph.D. in Biostatistics from Boston University and worked at Boston University School of Medicine before moving to California to join Gilead Sciences. She also runs her own consulting business, AK Research Group. She loves bún bò Huế, Argentine tango, Bikram yoga, Trịnh Công Sơn, the Gipsy Kings, and Kim Sơn.

Kim-Son H. Nguyen, a graduate of Harvard College, Harvard Medical School, and Harvard Kennedy School of Government, is currently a hematology-oncology fellow at Stanford. He has been taking beginners’ classes in Argentine tango for many years but is still hopeful. He loves international health, politics, Russian literature, Vietnamese poetry, soccer, Shotokan karate, flying, downhill skiing, and adventure motorcycling.
